Designing a personalized apartment that combines the functionality of daily living with the display and appreciation of a collection of objects, souvenirs, and design pieces.
The space is conceived as a “living gallery” – a blend of residential function and exhibition scenography. The color palette mixes deep tones of dark blue, anthracite gray, and dark green with warm accents—natural wood and rich textiles—providing neutral backdrops for statement pieces. Furniture is tailored to integrate shelving and display cabinets, while lighting is strategically positioned to highlight the collections.
The goal is to create a balance between the aesthetics of an exhibition space and the comfort of a lived-in apartment. The challenge was to optimize storage without compromising the airy character of the space and to integrate the collector’s objects in a coherent and harmonious way.
