Shanghai Express

The project’s primary function is a restaurant/fast food establishment with an Asian theme.

The concept is inspired by a contemporary reinterpretation of Shanghai street food markets, integrating traditional Asian elements into a modern, urban architectural language. The contrast between materials, the rhythm of suspended lighting, and wooden details create a distinct visual identity.

Functional areas are clearly organized, including ordering, serving, dining, kitchen, and technical spaces.

One of the main challenges was to efficiently organize the functions within a narrow, elongated space without compromising circulation flow or comfort. The high ceiling, which could have been a difficulty, was utilized creatively by incorporating a suspended decorative element that serves as a visual focal point.
